HUMRS Project Management

The Project

This was a project for my Project Management class. My group volunteered to work with the CMU Robotics Center to plan one of their projects.

The Robotics Center lacked anyone familiar with project management and they wanted plans they could apply to their current and future projects.

The HUMRS Project is a partnership between CMU, the DoD, Siemens, and HEBI. It seeks to develop a Hardened, Underwater, Modular Robot Snake for maintenance purposes.

Thougths and Reflection

I have a huge appreciation for effective project management and leadership. This project was a massive learning endeavor into how that effectiveness can be achieved and the amount of work it takes. Thanks to this project and the opportunity to apply this knowledge to a real-world case, I've gained tangible skills that will help me understand, organize, and facilitate any project I'm on going forward, regardless of if I'm in a leadership or role or not.
